Last night before I went to sleep I read some Rumi (translations by Coleman Barks). This particular passage from a poem called “Cry Out in Your Weakness” struck a chord:
Be patient. Respond to every call that excites your spirit. Ignore those that make you fearful and sad, that degrade you back toward disease and death.Now I don’t know about you, but I think reminders like these are needed in this crazy modern world we live in, where we often neglect our own greater well-being.
