I’ve learned that in practicing meditation you should watch the thoughts in your head as if they are clouds in the sky.  Observe them, recognize them, and then let them pass.

Through meditation too, we can learn that the way we view life and the world is oftentimes a reflection of ourselves, colored as we are by our own past experiences, the ego, and our emotions.

And the qualities we might so readily recognize in others may also simply be the qualities that are present within ourselves.

Our relationships with others are like mirrors reflecting back pieces of our soul and by looking into these mirrors there are many truths about ourselves we may glean–truths that can help us grow and move more positively forward through life.
